Zakiyyah Williams is currently an accounting professional employed with
The City of Prichard. A Newark, New Jersey native and first-generation college graduate of Feliciano Business School and Montclair State University (MSU), Zakiyyah
received her bachelor’s degree in accounting through an integrated honors
Her wonder for understanding the language of business paired
with a passion for education led to her involvement in many academic and
leadership enriching programs, notably serving as a college mentor while
holding a role as Vice-Treasurer for MSU Accounting Society. She has
years of experience in streamlining ledger processes, budgeting, financial
reporting, and account reconciliation from a variety of industries including
government, non-profit and education.
Her morals, integrity and professionalism are qualities many people
Personal interests include being consumed by wanderlust,
poetry (spoken word), painting and spending time with family and friends.
People who interact with Zakiyyah realize quickly that she is a great listener
with a witty sense of humor and an infectious smile.
Zakiyyah has developed a lifelong passion for academic equity and with
her involvement serving as a board member for PCDC, Zakiyyah wishes to
continue her commitment of serving marginalized communities.
