Dr. Phyllis Day is a native Mobilian, who is the President/CEO of Helping-hands
Education Outreach Program (HEOP), a non-profit organization serving children that
are homeless. She is a member of Joshua House Ministries Church and serves on the
Board of Directors. For the past seven years Dr. Day has served on the Board of
Directors of A New Day Foundation, a non-profit organization that promotes the
wellbeing of at risk and/or underprivileged children, youth and their families.
Dr Day holds an EdD in Education, with a concentration in Organizational Leadership
from Nova Southeastern University and a Master of Public Administration from Troy
University and a Master in Employment Law in progress from Nova Southeastern
Dr Day has strong family values and is a passionate philanthropist committed to
community development and advancement.
